Growing up in a very close family, histories of where we came from were very important as the youngest of four boys. Losing my parents so young was a big blow to us all, and this is some therapy in a painting that I had to put down. The green ‘31 Chev was my mom’s favourite colour and my dad would have loved the truck which is fuelling up at a Texaco station where he was employed most of his adult life. The c-store at the station would have to serve Coca-Cola, our family favourite and where I spent a good part of my life employed so far….onward and upward.
